We finally got Leila to the doctor this afternoon for her 18 month appointment. (a month and a half late) Leila gained some weight, she is 19 pounds, the doctor was happy with the gain. I guess a little gain is better than none, especially considering the way she eats! If she wasn't drinking a 600 calorie Scandishake a day she probably wouldn't have gained an ounce. She is 32 inches long, that's the 50th%. So like usual she is tall and skinny. She had to get two shots today too. Hep A and flu (not H1N1--that will be another shot!) she screamed so loud! But was easily distracted with a rubber duckie and a sticker of Dora. Developmentally Leila is doing great! She is starting to talk more, but only with us and people she is comfortable with, she is so shy around other people. She knows all her body parts and a good amount of animals and what they say. (they don't all roar anymore!) She loves to jump on the couch and run, run, run. She also loves playing outside! If she could be outside all day she'd be in heaven. Hopefully in a few weeks it will cool down to anything under 100 and we can play outside more. We are supposed to be taking her into the GI doctor next month for a check-up with him, but other than that appointment we don't have to take Leila back to the doctor until she is 2!
Emmalene didn't have an appointment today, but I did pop her on the scale to see how she is gaining. She weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces. She's gained 2 pounds 4 ounces since birth! WooHoo!!
